Cosy apartment in Town House'La Carrée bleue' is a small apartment, just the right size for two, on the ground floor of a 16th-century stone house in the old quarter of historic Montagnac. It is a perfect hideaway for a young couple who don't want to be bothered with too much space to clean or sophisticated equipment.

Furnishings are basic, but spotlessly clean and cheerful, all the bedding is new, and although it is a very old village house, the apartment is light and airy. The romantic setting goes as far as the street name : 'rue de l'Amour' - literal translation 'Love Street'. The main entrance is into the kitchen and French windows lead out onto a pleasant, sunny square in a very quiet part of the village. There is a living room-kitchen pleasantly set out in local style for lovestruck dining by candlelight and a good-sized bedroom with double bed (an extra single bed may be added if necessary). On a more mundane note, although there is no dishwasher (discover the romantic joys of washing the dishes together) - there is a new washing machine, good-sized fridge, cupboard space and new gas cooker. The bathroom has a shower, basin and WC. There is plenty of cupboard space throughout. The artist owner of this apartment has definitely enjoyed decorating it with her original, colourful style and she has made the most of the beautiful old stone walls and beams. All windows are double-glazed which, coupled with thick stone walls, helps to maintain the apartment cool in the summer and keep the heat inside in winter.
