Fouzilhon is a small quiet village of Roman origin built on a hillside on the site of an old chateau. It is surrounded by vinyards and has wonderful views to the mountains and countryside beyond. Whilst it is quiet it is not isolated as there are many larger villages and towns within reasonable distance. However, you will need a car as public transport from the village is limited to a bus out of the village in the early morning and one back in the evening. The village of Magalas is 3km in one direction and Roujan 5km in the other. The Historic old Town of Pezenas is only 15km approx, to name but a few.

The more developed beach areas have entertainment such as Go-Karting, Theme/Attraction Parks. The Cevenne and Haut Languedoc Mountains in view of the house and within easy reach for climbing, canoeing, walking and wonderful scenery. The area is not a gastronomic region but a wealth of small restaurants in almost every village and town serve you well with enjoyable local cusine at very affordable prices. The costal areas are noted for their sea food restaurants and of course there ar hundreds of diffent wines to sample. There is so much to see and do that one visit will not be enough!
