Out and About
Nearby towns are Pezenas (15km) which has a wealth of cafes, restaurants and shops and a large year-round Saturday market. From June to September it hosts Le Mirondela Dels Arts, a summer festival of arts and music. Historic Beziers, a 30 minute drive away, is one of the jewels of the Midi - along with its extraordinary turreted Cathedral, it offers art galleries, cinemas & a theatre. Montpellier and Narbonne, about an hour’s drive, are gracious and historic cities which offer a great deal to interest the sightseer, the historian and the shopper alike.
The Mediterranean beaches are a 40-minute drive away, and range from a 7-mile stretch of sand at Marseillan Plage to the lively cosmopolitan resort of Cap d’Agde. The Herault River and the Canal du Midi offer opportunities for walking, swimming, fishing and boat trips.
